The Positions

If you've ever visited an Apple Retail Store the class names of our admin roles will seem very familiar. However, since deviantART is in fact an website dedicated to the art's a few things have been changed from the 'official' Apple definitions of these roles. Here's a proper definition of the duties to be expected by the admins of the #macusers group.


    Genius
    Users in this class are expected to respond to notes and comments. They will be required to cover special events such as all major keynotes throughout the year. These include (but are not limited to) iPod events and the WWDC events. Most importantly users in this class are required to spend time in the chatroom #GeniusBar and offer support where ever possible. They will also need to read and approve/deny blogs by the other classes.


    Creative
    Users in this class will be required to take care of the Gallery and Favs section of the group. This entails approving or denying deviations and ensuring that everything is in it's correct folder. They will also be expected to write at least one feature journal (per person) a month and are responsible for all contest or general group activities.


    Specialist
    Users in this class will be responsible for general blogs and polls. When software updates are release they will be expected to keep group members up to date via the update blog. Should new hardware or software be released these deviants will need to write reviews of these products either hands on or based on other reviews.
